Graduating first in her class on Industrial Engineering, Katherine earned a scholarship to study Materials and Manufacturing Science in Jonkoping University, Sweden. But it is after completing her studies that she discovered the world of entrepreneurship, winning the competitive Startup Weekend Santo Domingo competition twice within a very short time. She was recently selected as member of Global Startup Youth, traveling to Malaysia to learn more on global trends in youth entrepreneurship, which now applies to her own startup, a local crowdfunding platform. What free time she has left, she employs it as an active volunteer for the Brugal Foundation and cordinating the logistics of Civil Innovation Lab events.
